2024-2025 JLNO Membership Request Form

Thank you for your interest in joining the Junior League of New Orleans. Membership Requests for the New Member year to start January 1, 2024 must be submitted by June 30, 2024.

Eligibility

Requirements to Join:

1. Be at least 23 years old as of May 31, 2024.

2. Reside in the New Orleans area (within a 45-mile radius of JLNO Headquarters located at 4319 Carondelet Street). Attendance at a New Orleans school by an out-of-town student does not constitute such residence. Please note that prospective members are no longer required to have lived in the area for a full year before joining JLNO.

3. Possess an interest in voluntarism, a commitment to community service, and an interest in developing her potential as a volunteer and leader.

4. Be able to fulfill the New Member requirements, which are briefly outlined below.

5. Have access to an email account in order to receive JLNO communication. Any woman age 23 or older who demonstrates an interest in and commitment to voluntarism, regardless of race, religion, or national or ethnic origin may join the 2024-2025 New Member class. Please note that the following information is gathered for our member directory and database.

New Member Requirements

New Membership Curriculum

Within your New Member year, you will be guided through the membership curriculum to learn about JLNO's mission and operations, the community we serve, ways to enrich your member experience, and what you can do with more years of service. To increase members’ knowledge about JLNO and the community it serves, members will have the opportunity to attend member meetings, workshops, training sessions, and speaker events.

New Member Requirements:

Complete and sign your New Member Contract and turn in by June 30, 2024 for the 2024-2025 application year.
Pay New Member Dues of $225.00 and a one-time fee of $50.00 by June 30, 2024 for the 2024-2025 application year.
Attend four JLNO New Member training sessions throughout the course of the New Member year.
Attend four Training Credit Opportunities throughout the New Member year.
Contribute $100 for Money to Mission to support fundraisers that directly benefit our community.
Volunteer approximately 25 hours of community service with JLNO.
